Mr. Majors, a lifelong resident of Earth, has been in public education for 24 years but being a teacher was not something he thought he would ever pursue. As a young man, Mr. Majors dreamed of either working on the railroad, being a TV meteorologist, playing drums for touring rock band or a strange combination of all three. Instead, he found a passion in photography / videography and has since done professional photography for Charlotte-area sports teams and major national brands.
When Mr. Majors heeded the call to teaching, his friends laughed…. out loud… one even snorted out their cola. Undeterred (and unoffended), he began as a 6th grade Social Studies teacher and thoroughly enjoyed making history come alive for his students. When an opportunity opened to be a Media Technology Instructor, he made the leap and now thoroughly enjoys using his real-world experience to help students discover their own passion for visual storytelling.
